Recognised as one of the most important cinema occasions in the world, over 11 days in august, Locarno becomes a meeting point for professionals, specialists and enthusiasts for art house and innovative cinema.
Moon and Stars
To welcome Moon and Stars for ten days in July, the 'Locarno Lounge' changes its look and becomes a stage for great international pop-rock performers. A truly international festival offering concerts featuring the biggest international stars, with Piazza Grande as the stunning backdrop, filled with thousands.
JazzAscona
For ten days in early Summer, the pretty town of Ascona and the US city of New Orleans are united by their music. For more than twenty years, the town on Lake Maggiore has played host to amazing performances from many of the finest international jazz artists.
Luci e ombre
Animation, music, gastronomy and incredible fireworks are the ingredients of Luci e Ombre, a mid-summer Festival taking place over a long weekend on the Locarno-Muralto lakeside. A big fun fair with an amazing entertainment program for all ages and until late into the evening.
